April 6th, 2023: AMA BOLTON and VERONICA AARONSON

Ama Bolton‘s poems have featured at festivals, on Radio 3’s The Verb and on local radio and have been published in magazines including Magma and Brittle Star and in anthologies including Bridport Prize 2008. She convenes the Fountain Poets in Wells. An e-chapbook, Nines, is due this Spring from Snapshot Press. 

Veronica Aaronson is a co-founder and one of the organisers of the Teignmouth Poetry Festival.   Her work has been published widely in literary journals, online and in anthologies and she has won and been placed in, several competitions.  Her first collection Nothing About the Birds Is Ordinary This Morning (2018 Indigo Dreams) was put forward for the 2020 Laurel Prize.  One of the poems from the collection was chosen for the Scottish Poetry Library’s Best Scottish Poems Anthology 2019.  One of the poems from Emily’s Mothers (Dempsey and Windle, 2020) was nominated for the Forward Prize for Best Individual Poem in 2019.  Telling Tales was published by 4Word Press in December 2021 and Still Arriving (Dempsey and Windle, 2022).  Inanna Reimagined (Fore Street Press, 2023) has been performed by twelve poets together with two musicians at Ashburton Arts Centre and will feature at the Teignmouth Poetry Festival on 1st April.
